Post A Day benefits

Pension benefits won’t all be taken at once, so you need to calculate the percentage used from previous BCEs, taking care as the LTA in previous years could be different as the LTA used in from the tax year the BCE occurs.

When calculating the percentage of the lifetime allowance that was utilised in respect of each previous BCE the percentage should be expressed to two decimal places and be rounded down.

For example, if the percentage was 66.6666%, then this should be expressed as 66.66% (not 66.67%).
